Postcards for Peace is a free, drop-in event inspired by #ProjectMailstorm. Folks will gather together in amazing coffee shops and welcoming community centers around the city to write handwritten postcards to government agencies calling for peace, justice, and people-first policies.
No speeches, no protests — just pens, art, and quiet conviction.
I will provide all materials (postcards, pens, prompts, agency addresses, even stamps). You will provide your words and your unique voice.
The vibe is low-key and thoughtful. Folks come, sip a beverage, write, maybe chat, and then carry on with their day — but a little lighter.
And while I want to advocate for peace and will keep the vibe low-key, I also want to acknowledge the righteous anger a lot of folks in our community are feeling. If you feel like sharing that on a postcard, I’m not going to censor you. Your grief and rage are holy, and all of you is welcome here.
The list of locations is being finalized and will be posted here soon.
